Motorola has launched its two flagship smartphones Moto X40 and Moto G53 at an event in China today. The company has launched the X40 as its flagship phone, equipped with the latest Snapdragon 8 Gen 2 processor. The phone has a 60MP selfie camera and the company claims that the phone charges 50% in just 7 minutes. On the other hand, the Moto G53 is a new mid-range 5G smartphone, which comes with a 5000mAh battery, 120Hz LCD display and a 50MP rear camera. The new Moto X40 is available for pre-booking at the Lenovo China Store. Its base 8GB+128GB storage variant is priced at CNY 3,399 (approximately 40 thousand rupees) and 8GB+256GB storage variant is priced at CNY 3,699 (approximately 44 thousand rupees). While the 12GB+256GB storage variant is priced at CNY 3,999 (approximately 48 thousand rupees) and the top-of-the-line 12GB+512GB variant is priced at CNY 4299 (approximately 52 thousand rupees). Motorola’s smartphone comes in smokey black and tourmaline blue colors. Its sales in China will begin on December 22.
Moto G53 is priced at 899 yuan (approximately 11 thousand rupees) for the base 4GB+128GB variant. The phone also has an 8GB+128GB variant, priced at 1099 yuan (roughly 13 thousand rupees). Moto X40 basic specification
The new Moto X40 is launched on Android 13 based on MyUI 5.0 out-of-the-box. The Moto X40 features a 6.7-inch full-HD+ curved AMOLED display with 165Hz refresh rate and HDR10+ support. This smartphone packs a Snapdragon 8 Gen 2 chip, paired with up to 12GB of LPPDR5x RAM and up to 512GB of UFS 4.0 onboard storage. Moto X40 is a dual-SIM 5G smartphone that also supports Wi-Fi 6E and Bluetooth v5.3 support. This company’s MAXE technology is claimed to reduce energy consumption. The phone also has an 11-layer cooling system.
For photography, the Moto X40 is equipped with a triple rear camera setup, which includes a 50-megapixel main camera with optical image stabilization (OIS) support. On the back side is a 50-megapixel wide-angle lens and a 12-megapixel telephoto sensor. In addition, the handset has a 60-megapixel selfie camera on the front. The newly launched Moto G53 has a 6.5 inch LCD panel, which comes with a 120Hz refresh rate and 720×1600 pixel resolution. The display comes with a punch-hole cutout design. The smartphone is equipped with an octa-core Qualcomm chipset, paired with up to 8GB of RAM and up to 128GB of storage, which can be expanded up to 1024GB using a microSD card.
For photography, the Moto G53 has a 50-megapixel primary camera sensor with an LED flash and a 2-megapixel depth sensor. The smartphone has an 8-megapixel camera for selfies. The phone packs a 5000mAh battery with 18W charging support. It works on MyUi 5.0 based on Android 13. The phone has a side-mounted fingerprint sensor. The handset comes with a 3.5 mm headphone jack and includes all basic connectivity options.
