Last month, IREDA signed a memorandum of understanding (MoU) with North Eastern Electric Power Corporation to finance and implement renewable energy projects. In a statement, IREDA stated that under the Memorandum of Understanding (MoU), the agency will implement state-of-the-art technology programs for renewable energy, energy efficiency and NEEPCO environmental protection activities. IREDA will assist in developing plans for the development and acquisition of renewable energy projects over the next five years.
