On the third day of the Chhath festival, Kartik Shukla Shashthi is the most important day of the Chhath festival. He is also known as Dala Chhath. This Chhath Puja festival, adorned with the glory of the Sun God, began on November 8th. Wednesday, the first Arghya will be delivered at sunset in the evening. Surya Shashti fasting is practiced for the longevity of children, good health, family happiness and development and dignity.
Chhath Arghya soup is garnished with fruits, raisins, rice laddus etc. in a bamboo basket in the evening on the third day, after which the volunteer and his family give Arghya to Surya. Along with this, the second Arghya will be given to the rising Sun in the morning on the fourth day and after giving Arghya fasting will be broken.
The sunset time to deliver Arghya to Lord Surya in the evening is 5.30 pm and the sunrise is 6.41 am on the fourth day of Chhath Puja.
Way to get Arghya to the setting sun
First, store all the tools used in Chhath Puja in a bamboo basket. At the same time, when giving Arghya to the Sun, keep the whole prasad in the soup and light the lamp in the soup only. Then go down to the river and present Arghya to the Sun God.
As you offer Arghya to the Sun, sing these words: ‘Om Suryay Namah’ or Om Ghrinim Suryay Namah, Om Hrunam Surya: Aditya :, Om Hreem Hreem Surya, Sahastrakiranay Manovanchit Phalam Dehi Dehi Swaha Mantra.
