Tirupati (Andhra Pradesh): Home Affairs Minister Amit Shah Sunday Sunday chaired the 29th Southern Zonal Council (SZC) meeting in the Tirupati temple town in Andhra Pradesh. The SZC conference discussed the establishment of a Direct Benefit Transfer (DBT) program, an urgent investigation of sexual and child abuse cases, the promotion of the National Leprosy Eradication Program (NLEP) and Nikshay Poshan under the Revised National Tuberculosis Control Program. make good use of the system (NPY) was widely discussed. In this, a number of international issues between the southern states were also discussed.

During the meeting, 26 issues were discussed between the southern states and the treaty regions, four of which were presented by the Center. Tamilisai Soundararajan, Governor of Telangana and Lieutenant Governor of Puducherry, Admiral DK Joshi, Lieutenant Governor of Andaman and Nicobar Islands were present at the meeting.

Apart from this, Andhra Pradesh Chief Minister YS Jagan Mohan Reddy and Chief Minister of Karnataka Basavaraj Bommai, Puducherry Chief Minister N Rangasamy, Lakshadweep Administrator Praful Khoda Patel and Telangana Home Minister Mahmood Ali also took part in the meeting.

Kerala Finance Minister KN Balagopal, Tamil Nadu Hindu Religious and Charity Minister PK Sekarbabu, Union Home Secretary Ajay Kumar Bhalla, Inter-State Council Secretariat Secretary Anuradha Prasad and other senior officials were also present at the meeting.
