I’m going to show you two ways to find winning ads that you can use in your YouTube short ads. If you haven’t heard already, one of the hottest trends right now is running YouTube ads, especially YouTube short ads.

2 Ways to Spy for Making Money with Youtube Short Ads

These can get a lot of views and, surprisingly, a lot of conversions. It’s kind of similar to TikTok ads, but for those of you that have been running TikTok ads, you know that the policies are very strict and it can come with a quick ban hammer, just like Facebook ads. But with Google short ads, the rules seem to be a little bit lighter, at least for some of the campaigns I’ve been starting to test.

So, I wanted to show two easy ways to find out some winning ads from around the internet and how we can search this platform to see what other affiliates are doing. So, we’re going to go into my computer, and we’re going to talk about YouTube short ads quickly and how you can start looking for ideas for your next affiliate marketing campaign or just performance marketing in general. So, let’s go into my computer now and let’s have a look.

Finding YouTube Short Ads on Desktop

When you come into YouTube, you’ll see that there are a lot of YouTube videos, especially if you’re on desktop. One thing you can see over on the left is the shorts category, and you can actually start scrolling through YouTube shorts. But there’s not really a good way of searching for YouTube shorts.

Because if I come here and let’s say I’m running a keto diet offer or whatever is the next fad diet, let’s just say keto diet. What I’m going to get on desktop is a bunch of videos related to keto diet, not exactly YouTube shorts. So, it’s kind of hard to spy and see what people are doing precisely with YouTube shorts by just doing a search like that.

Using Mobile Devices for Better Results

When I went and searched around for YouTube shorts spy tools, I found that the ones that I tested were actually really terrible and didn’t have YouTube shorts. For example, I see some people on YouTube pitching vid Teo, but in reality, the software is glitchy, and you can’t really find YouTube short ads. So, how do you do it? Well, there’s one way that you can do it: you can go onto your mobile device, go into the shorts category, and then click on the search function.

You’ll see that you can search YouTube shorts and enter in a hashtag. This is a great way to start scrolling through. If you’re running a particular offer, search the hashtag of the affiliate offer you want to run, and you might start seeing some videos related to what you want to pitch. Then you can come up with ideas on how to create your own videos for YouTube shorts.

Using Pippy Ads for Enhanced Ad Search

So, if something’s working over on TikTok, it’s likely going to also work over on YouTube shorts because it’s similar in how they deliver content. So, what you can do here inside of Pippy Ads is you can start searching all of the top ads running on TikTok right now. Again, it’s a pretty cool tool. I’ve talked about it before on this channel, so you can basically search down to the country. If you’re running an offer, say that only allows the United States, you can filter based on the country, and now you can see some ads running here on TikTok.

Filtering and Searching for Specific Ads

More importantly, you can now click on these and start seeing more details about these ads. Let’s get a little more specific. Let’s say we want to search for ads related to keto diet or anything like that. We can search that keyword, and now we’re getting even more ads. Another thing you can do here is also filter by advertisers and how many ads or how many times the ad has been seen. All of these filters can narrow down your search.

Let’s show you a little more about when we find an ad. Let’s just click on the ad and see what we can do. You can see the entire ad if you want. You can actually download this ad. So, you could take this and edit it. I’m not saying you should do this, but by doing this, you’re not really duplicating it on TikTok.

You’re not risking your account on TikTok because if you copy videos on TikTok and re-upload them for your own, you’ll probably get banned. The same applies for YouTube shorts. Make sure you’re creating original content for your ads. But these are ads that you can use or at least pull into your editing software and start making similar ones yourself using other clips.
